Upon entering the diesel trade business, Mr Tee introduced creative marketing initiatives such as fuel promotions with complimentary gifts, which quickly set him apart from competitors and built a loyal customer base.

In 1988, Mr Tee became an official partner of Shell, managing the sales and distribution of petroleum products. This partnership exposed him to Western business management philosophies and standards of operational excellence.
